What you'll learn

Got an idea for a novel? Me too. Got it started? Same. About 50 pages in when you realized the novel is the marathon of literary genres and you were running out of know-how and steam? Story of the aspiring novelist's life.

This class moves participants past the initial stage of inspiration and into the real work of writing a novel.

Participants will leave with a significant sample and a synopsis as well as a detailed outline and a concrete, achievable strategy for completing the work.

Mondays 4 pm – 6 pm PST / 7 pm – 9 pm EST 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11 Enrollment: $350 if you register by June 1. $400 after that.

Marya Hornbacher

Writer/Instructor/Coach

A full-time writer and teacher for more than 30 years, Marya draws on both her experience as a working writer and her professional and personal expertise in the fields of mental wellness and recovery. Marya has taught at the graduate level since the 1990s, speaks internationally on writing and recovery, and has led workshops in settings including shelters, Ivy League universities, correctional facilities, the Hazelden/Betty Ford Foundation, and more. She's here to share what works for her and help you identify more creative and personal practices that will work for you.
