Every literary genre lives and dies by the presence and vitality of its character. This crash course will explore the function of character in our chosen genre.
Discover who our characters are and develop their dimensions, motives, tensions, and quirks.
We'll ultimately create vibrant, realistic characters with whom readers will resonate and connect.

Marya Hornbacher
Writer/Instructor
A full-time writer and teacher for more than 30 years, Marya has taught at the graduate level since the 1990s, speaks internationally on writing and recovery, and has led workshops in settings including shelters, Ivy League universities, correctional facilities, Forbes 500 companies, medical schools, and more. She's here to share what works for her and help you identify more creative and personal practices that will work for you.
